This is your Golden Globes Open Thread
I know it's kind jumping the gun. The show doesn't start for another four hours out here on the East coast. If there's a delay, we may have to moderate the comments to avoid spoilers.
In the meantime, we'd always like to see predictions and dark horses in the pre-show lull. And then there's the red carpet...

Shit! The show starts in twenty minutes and I don't even have a ballot. I am totally lost. This is what happens when I spend a long weekend lost in Oscar Land. (The curly blond kind, not the shiny gold statue kind.)
Emily just said David Strathairn has no chance. He's a dark horse, but I'm not ruling anybody out. Those foreign press folks LOVE the B&W and the anti-(american)-establishment thing. We'll see what happens. Strathairn certainly looks well...

David S. ALWAYS looks well. He's my boy. I am just so psyched that we have had the chance to see him not once but TWICE on stage in Philly.
Two observations, without spoiling anything:
1) Renee Zellweger is a lightweight;
2) At two and 1/2 hours (so far!), this feels a bit long...
Well, that's it. Nice job, nice show. Hope the west coast enjoys. We're going to bed.
Good night and good blog.
I was in bed by 10 pm and watched the remainder of the show with one eye. (The other eye was reading David Sedaris. Forgive me.)
Snarky commentary, with particular attention to FASHION and STYLE forthcoming. I just have to do some work first. What a drag.
Until later...
p.s. did anyone see Heath Ledger mouth to m. williams after Hoffman won for "Capote" - "who is that guy?" - now, did he mean PSH or Capote???????
Interesting re: Capote. Good to know...it will be bumped to the bottom of the must-see list. Thanks!
and Mike, I agree with you on Renee Z. Cannot stand her.
